Our Work

Waterloo Region Visitor Attraction

There isn’t just one thing that sets Waterloo Region apart. And we know: that’s what every destination says to get you to visit. So many reasons to book your trip today blah blah blah. But they’re not dealing with a place that has Mennonite buggies trotting down the road alongside tech bros in Teslas. Waterloo Region really is a mix of everything, but it also wasn’t really on the radar of people the GTA.

Our job was to bring their brand positioning (“A curious place for curious people”) to life with a campaign that dared to ask… well, it asked a lot of things.

Our primary visitor attraction campaign used a variety of Waterloo Region experiences to ask some pretty important (and pretty silly) questions. And it was all designed to pique the curiosity of the exact type of person who would truly fall head over heels for Waterloo Region.

Our campaign was driven primarily by digital tactics, including social, online display and digital video. But we also made our presence known throughout GTA with out-of-home placements in Yonge-Dundas Square, Union Station, and on streetcars.

But the fun didn’t stop with our primary campaign. Waterloo Region has plenty of seasonal offerings as well, such as the Taste of Maple Trail. We promoted this one-of-a-kind experience by tapping into something even sweeter than a maple tree: Canadian Pride.
