We Bring Together the Art + Science of Creative Marketing
Not every marketing problem requires magic and logic in equal doses. We diagnose each challenge and recommend a creative solution that mixes these ingredients in the right measures to move the audience.

Founder
With more than fifteen years of marketing experience, Tyler has honed the ability to quickly perceive the challenges and opportunities facing brands and organizations. As a pragmatist, Tyler recommends strategies that balance risk and results, knowing that a strategy cannot be effective if it does not have support to be fully implemented. It is this belief in the importance of balance that led him to found Rhyme and Reason; a firm that understands marketing challenges can be solved by both creativity and logic—the key is knowing when and how to apply each.
Most recently, Tyler spent four years as the agency-side strategist for Tourism Nova Scotia. He helped lead the agency team through a period of unprecedented disruption in the tourism industry during COVID-19 and led the work to refine Tourism Nova Scotia’s brand strategy and marketing approach post-pandemic.
In addition, Tyler has worked with creative agencies on client projects that spanned diverse industries such as government, telecommunications, beverage alcohol, and university recruitment. He has contributed to campaigns for Destination Halifax, Tourism New Brunswick, Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, Bell Aliant, Eastlink and more.
A native of Brookfield NS, Tyler received his master of commerce degree from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and BComm and BA degrees from Saint Mary's University. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, coaching his daughter’s and son’s hockey teams, and batch-cooking lunches that he forgets to eat.
