Rhyme + Reason, a newly established creative marketing agency, announces its official launch today.

Founded by Tyler MacLeod, an industry veteran with over fifteen years of agency experience, Rhyme + Reason's foundation rests on the principle that marketing success requires an understanding of both art and science.

“The most effective marketing campaigns combine creative innovation with data-driven methodologies," says MacLeod. “Creativity alone is hit or miss. Data can produce predictable results, but rarely breakthrough ones. There are exponential possibilities in the combination of the two approaches.”

Tyler MacLeod, previously at the helm of the Halifax office of M5, one of Canada's prominent independent agencies, brings a wealth of expertise to Rhyme + Reason. He is joined by Senior Art Director Erin Tilley, who brings ten years of experience to the role.

“Erin and I have been working together since 2013,” said MacLeod. “She’s a talented art director and very collaborative. Her style is perfect for our approach to creative development.”

Based in Halifax, Rhyme + Reason’s services include marketing strategy development and creative services, including advertising, branding and design. The agency seeks to work with clients who have a local connection.

“Much of my experience has involved selling this region—Nova Scotia in particular,” said MacLeod. “I’ve worked in tourism marketing, place branding, business attraction, recruitment, and the marketing of products like Nova Scotia wines. I’ve learned a lot about what Nova Scotia has to offer and how audiences see our province. I’d like to work with brands and organizations for whom Nova Scotia’s brand is—or should be—a significant part of what they stand for.”
